Introducing Odddot -  Contemporary furniture and lighting company who specialise in beautiful handmade pieces. The products are designed and styled to respect a diverse array of surroundings whilst still complimenting the current features and fittings within the current space. We speak to Head Designer Mags about their newest products, how to cultivate an online presence and current trends within interior design.

About the company

1) Introduce your company:

Our business (Odddot) strives to produce high quality, contemporary and bespoke furniture and lighting which adds that characteristic addition to any cherished room. We also engage with interior designers and architects to transform any area into a fresh and modern space. Currently we are working on various unique, innovative and creative projects which implement exclusive features within fashionable surroundings. In addition they have been crafted to promote a fresh yet bold statement to ensure that the products are portrayed as head turning conversational pieces.

2) Talk us through your latest product/s?

We offer a wide variety of products, hand crafted from birch ply which range from tables and chairs to lamps and clocks, all lovingly created by ourselves to a very high standard. Also we have recently been experimenting with metal and acrylic to gain interest from a wider audience.

3) What makes your products/services stand out from the competition?

Taking into consideration that every product is handcrafted by ourselves, we know that each item is produced and finished to a very high standard. This ensures the customer, while maybe spending more than they would do at the average mass production company, is receiving an excellent and distinct product. Additionally, we strive to source the best possible materials and tools to ensure first-rate production. This being said the process of production has a somewhat warm feel compared to the cold production lines of flat packed furniture companies.

5) What would you say are the prominent trends within Interior design at the moment?

I think colour is playing very important role at the moment. People are still shy and trying to stay with monochromatic interiors, but they do like to add a characteristic addition to their rooms, like for example beautiful Odddot lamp!

6) In contemporary society an online presence is key in order to grow your design firm – How do you utilise the internet to increase your customer base?

At the moment, we have our product available in the online stores Houzz and Noxu Home. However, In the future we plan to implement an enhanced ecommerce marketing strategy. We hope to do this by reaching a larger volume of potential clients through various online retail platforms. Our current website and all our social media receives an excellent number visitors and potential customers on a daily basis.
