Benjamin’s innovative use of waste denim has been applied to furniture making and now surface design to clad the entire Central Bar with waste denim donated by Levi’s. The project highlighted problems with consumerism and raised awareness of the global impacts of the fashion and textile industries.
At the core of the show, The Central Bar is the perfect spot for networking or grabbing a drink or bite to eat and featured DJ’s throughout the show.
"I’m a freelance designer based in Sheffield, recently graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a 1st class honours degree in Product Design: Furniture. As a designer in 2019 I am morally obliged to design sustainable products, something which I am passionate about. Benjamin Stanton Studio (the business) will be moving into a new studio/workshop premises at the end of October, and is currently building an exciting portfolio of work."
