Introducing Addicted to Patterns - The Bristol based design and print studio specialising in hand screen-printed wallpapers and textiles. We talk to designer Justyna Medon about combining craftsmanship with digital techniques.

About Addicted to Patterns

1)   Introduce your company:

Addicted to Patterns is a Bristol-based design and print studio, specialising in unique collections of hand screen-printed wallpapers and textiles. Wallpaper hangings together with furnishing textiles are made to order and customised to fit individual needs. We are passionate about the process, from hand-drawn patterns to colour matching for our hand painted backgrounds and silkscreen printed patterns, we adore the beauty of craftsmanship and quality that stands behind it.

2) Talk us through your latest product/s:

The new collection features six original designs, each available in three colourways. Sea Florals shows intense patterns of algae and underwater plants, Avon Heron plays with bold geometric shapes and delicate linear drawings of river bank flowers and grey herons, Mozaics inspired by Spanish Tiles renders floral designs in deep ultra marine, mustard yellow and grey.

There is also a playful element in the latest collection, with ants running over Red Desert Cacti wallpaper that uses CMYK imagery and regular graphic repetition to create twisted and modern patterns that refer to classics.

Illustrative Retro Swimmers, sea side scene brings to the sound of waves crashing on the beach to your interior whilst Northern Meadows wallpaper refers to Nordic style and flora.

3) What goals would you like to achieve for your company in the future?

Addicted to Patterns' vision is to earn recognition in the design field and be part of unique interior decoration projects. We would love to work with individuals, interior designers and architects that share our passion for patterns and value the traditional print process.
