100% Design boasts the most well attended and comprehensive seminar programme in UK design, seeing more industry names and issues discussed than any other design event.
Imagine life in black and white. It might have been Coco Chanel’s vision for the world, but most of us live our lives enriched by colour. Every year there are new colour trends. But what about an understanding of colour that goes beyond this? That examines how colour makes us feel and why, that looks at how colour can be used positively to change how spaces work, and ultimately how we use, and feel, in them. Why do certain colours seem to scare us? What do certain colours mean around the world? And what does a certain colour say about your product, design or brand?
Our talks programme for 2015 will examine the power of colour, and is organised by Claire Barrett in collaboration with leading international colour psychology expert Karen Haller. Alongside the visual we’ll examine the other senses too – how through touch, smell, sound and taste, our lives can be positively influenced by design to create stimulating environments that improve productivity and creativity while supporting us emotionally.
