    Seminar Details

Although we may not realise it as humans, we respond emotionally to the wonders of natural light, whether it is a beautiful sunset at the beach, dappled sunlight on a forest floor, sitting by a log fire in winter or a watery moon in Autumn. Lighting designers seek to elicit some of these emotional responses, in a figurative and abstract manner, when lighting interiors or exteriors. The seminar will look at that emotional response and discuss the balance between the functional and the emotional, with illustrations and how, we, as lighting designers incorporate, utilise and project the benefits inherent in the very nature of light, into designs focused on the emotional well being of those that use them.
