Niche London will be launching their visually dynamic ‘Zimbra Stool’ at 100% Design this September.
The design, influenced by space frame construction seen in cranes and electricity pylons, was designed to the sound of the Talking Heads song of the same name, and its form echoes the spiky energy of the music.
Following the triangular theme of the design, the seat uses two scalene triangles in a trapezoid shape to form an ergonomic ‘bucket’ to sit on and also features small hook under the seat, designed for holding handbags and jackets when the stool is used in public areas.

Niche London is a young design firm, founded in 2011 by Graham Tulett and Shan Wong. They are returning to 100% Design for the 2nd year to launch a new range of products. The new products will continue to represent the character of Niche London designs – visually different, practical and slightly quirky.
