Constanze Schweda will be returning to 100% Design this year after the success of the infinity curl tables and 'leaf' wall sculptures. Since October Schweda has extended her inifinity curl range to include these elegant mirrors and shelves. Unlike traditional frames the Coronet mirror extends over the glass and entwines around the mirror creating an interesting double depth effect.

Each piece is inspired by the Japanese art of Kirigami, made from a single sheet of steel, laser cut and 'drawn' into a functional sculpture. The manufacturing process employs both industrial production techniques and traditional craftsmanship skills. The result is an elegant look with a natural organic feel in a uni-material product.

Schweda studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and graduated as an Interior Architect in 1995. Since then she has spent most of her time working across Germany before moving to North London in 2005 where her beautiful pieces are now contrived.
