Devised as a neutral space for the meeting of international creative and business minds in the heart of the international section of 100% Design, the International Hub in association with Turkishceramics has been designed by two of London’s most innovative young architecture practices, Studio Glowacka in collaboration with Maria Fulford Architects.
A dramatic and intriguing installation, the hub provides a central space that both reflects and encourages the connections created in London; the creative capital of the world. Stockholm based furniture company Massproductions have kindly donated furniture that will feature in the space alongside a handmade table crafted by students from the Bartlett School of Architecture.
Studio Glowacka is a dynamic architecture and design practice founded in 2011 by Agnieszka Glowacka, a founding partner of the Young Architect of the Year Award shortlisted practice Glowacka Rennie. Maria Fulford has recently started her practice having previously been an Associate for Niall McLaughlin Architects. She was Project Architect on the 2013 Stirling Prize nominated Ripon Chapel, which is favourite to win. The work of these practices is materially rich, meticulously crafted and inventive.
The space will be programmed to include a range of international talks, presentations and insights that are unparalleled in the breadth and depth.
