LAUNCH OF URBAN LONDON COLLECTION BY ADRIENNE CHINN
Cutting edge London interior designer Adrienne Chinn has launched her exclusive range of rugs, fabrics, wallpaper and tie-backs under the “Urban London” name, available for sale on the Shopping section of www.adriennechinn.co.uk
Inspired by the urban London environment, Adrienne has created unique 100% hand-tufted wool rugs with edgy names like “Pavement”, “Rollerdoor” and “Grille”. The rugs, made of New Zealand wool, are available to order in custom sizes.
“I was inspired by focusing on the things we walk by everyday but ignore or discount – the grilles, graffiti, man-hole covers and pavement marks,” Adrienne says. “The more I looked the more I saw – patterns, textures, colours. I went looking for beauty in unlikely places, and I’m happy to say I found it. So many of us live in urban environments of buildings and concrete and we dream of escape to the country. But I say, look around you. The beauty may not be as obvious but it is there, and it’s all the more appealing for its hidden quality.”
Adrienne has collaborated with the talented London-based textile designer Annette Taylor-Anderson of ATA Designs to create a range of wall murals, wallpapers and 100% cotton printed fabrics to compliment the Urban London range.
Unique glass tiebacks, designed by Adrienne and mouth-blown by a glass artist in Wales, are a luxurious component of the collection.
