KARUMA LONDON presents the ‘Stooch’ at 100% DESIGN
100% DESIGN UK (17 August 2011) – KARUMA LONDON will be making an appearance at UK’s 100% DESIGN this September (22-25) bringing their extensive Product Design expertise to the global market. As part of 100% DESIGN, KARUMA LONDON will be launching their first product, the ‘STOOCH’, the result of their first collaboration with exciting new designer, BILAL RAJA.
KARUMA LONDON is committed to nurturing young design talent through its Graduate Design Programme, giving young, exciting designers the opportunity to take product concepts to market with the support of Karuma London’s international product developmental expertise.
This September, KARUMA LONDON is proud to launch the first result from the Graduate Design Programme, its very own furniture, by fusing western contemporary design with traditional forms. “Stooch takes inspiration from Chinese ideology, particularly the symbology associated with the Crane to develop a truly iconic, unique product” says Bilal Raja, about the design of Stooch.
Bilal Raja was a natural addition to the KARUMA LONDON team, sharing the same key principles- create, articulate and deliver innovative solutions to improve the quality of life. Characterized by sleek lines and a lightness of form, Stooch is iconic. The Stooch style matches unique and unconventional designs with functionality.
100% Design attendees are invited to try out the Stooch. Each piece of Stooch is a work of art, a showcase of stunning materials with exceptional design.
“Stooch is iconic” says Ashley Sayed, Managing Director. “It will make your guests smile and transform a piece of furniture into a subject of discussion”.
Made from high-quality materials, easy to clean, and ergonomically designed.
