Pompon_description
It is a large armchair-pouf, produced entirely by hand stitching and twisting strips of wool fabric, linen and cotton. The creation was inspired by the technique of wool pompoms, proposed here in a "oversized" version. An "alternative" seating, light though slightly large, to be located in any atmosphere and strictly covered in natural yarns.
In this case the wool is obtained from the recyclage of 2700 m. of selvages, waste material from the textile production. The seating consists of two elements: a donut and a pompom, which can be used together or separately, depending on the different usage, assembled by simple insertion.
The project was awarded at the international competition "Ethics of living, aesthetics of living", the prototypes were made with the assistance of Cecchi & Cecchi and Formitalia Group spa.
The project is currently owned by con3studio. For mass production and distribution, agreements with Formitalia spa are under way. For further information or a possible purchase, please contact us directly.

Such handles can be shaped very differently as compared with classical handles made of metal or wood. Furthermore, these elements can be manufactured from coloured material and thanks to properties of such material, the handles evoke a different style of processing.
The handles are made to be either embedded or mounted on surface. They are made in white, yellow, black, grey and other colours. In addition, two different colours may be used and combined to match door surfaces. Each line is clearly defined by its shape, size and colour of its material.

Remember when you were scolded for not using a coaster? Worry no more….
Jay Watson introduces the intriguing ‘Linger a Little Longer’ Table and Benches, a deceptively understated design with a dynamic twist. Making entertaining that bit more fun (while also commenting on how ‘precious’ we can become about the functionality of furniture, or how oblivious we can be to every effect we have on our environment) the thermochromic finish of the table and benches responds to the heat of any plate, mug or serving dish – or body part – placed on it, to leave an ephemeral ‘watermark.’
Reacting once contact with the lacquered surface of the 6-8 seater table reaches 27 degrees, the heat can create all kinds of familiar and fascinating patterns, that retain their interest (or humour factor) also as they fade from a pale grey back to the deep black finish of the table at room temperature. Working beautifully with the grain of the solid, locally sourced chestnut timber, these rings, smudges, fingerprints and patterns make this design a talking point. |
