Description

Global law firm Linklaters LLP has recently undergone a complete refurbishment of the company’s London based headquarters. Appointed architects Pringle Brandon LLP tasked to increase the efficiency of the building and flexibility of the working environment, worked closely with M&E Consultants, Chapman Bathurst to create a high specification office utilizing low-energy design through the use of high efficiency luminaires. ACDC low-voltage cold cathode was specified in several areas, offering a beautifully continuous glow of light.

Lancel Boutiques - Worldwide

Description

Located in over 100 of the world’s most infamous cities, the Lancel boutiques are situated amongst the retail elite. When brand designer, Christophe Pillet decided it was time for a complete refurbishment, he tasked Lighting Designer, Philippe Mombellet to create a scheme that features an eco-friendly light concept that integrates the principles of energy saving and sustainable development. ACDC’s local agent, ATEA Lighting was involved in the process from the beginning offering advice on energy efficient LED luminaires, that would perfectly emphasis the product’s distinctive qualities, whilst importantly protecting the handbags from colour discoloration or fading.

Roman Abramovich's Under the Bridge

Description

Said to be worth an estimated £8 billion and known for his insatiable appetite for extravagance, Chelsea Football Club owner, Roman Abramovich has certainly pulled out all the stops with the new Under the Bridge venue. This £8 million development is built on the site of the old Purple nightclub in Chelsea Village. Max Conwell from Naked Eye Lighting Design was tasked to compliment the concept architect, Jim Cafarelli’s design to evoke the concept of a base of a New York City Bridge. A broad range of ACDC LED luminaires were used throughout this luxurious venue - set to be yet another huge success to add to this entrepreneur’s business portfolio.

Hurricane 50

Description

Utilising liquid cooling, heatsink technology the Hurricane 50 is a genuine 50 watt halogen equivalent, fixed and adjustable architectural LED downlight.

Featuring soft curves and a deep recess for low glare, this fitting has been designed around the LED source itself and has a clever fixing clamp mechanism to make the installation very straightforward. Hurricane 50 also features a magnetic, quick release system that allows the product to be fitted, and then the ceiling finished before fitting the finla front ring to the luminaire.

Integral to the design, an innovative 'virtual pivot point' allows all the generated light to pass through the luminaire's forward aperture, even when fully adjusted. Perfected by the ACDC design team, this is a feature that is set to revolutionise the way in which adjustable downlighters perform.

With its 'pseudo trimless' minimal design and available in black or white, Hurricane 50 utilises the latest in Cree LED technology for outstanding colour temperature, unrivalled consistency and colour rendering that is truly second to none.

Measuring just 65mm in width, this product is a super-compact, in-ground linear LED wall wash fitting, with an IP68 rating. Designed with a black 'mirco-louvre' system that minimises glare and cleverly shields the LED's from view whilst retaining ultimate power and punch - evenly washing surfaces up to 5 metres. Available in three tilt options (0,5 and 10 degree) and with integral control gear, this product is designed to allow end-to-end installtion, effectively giving a continuous linear light without shadow gaps where the product is joined.

Mondo is a compact asymmetric recessed light, utilsing an LED hidden by a minimal flange. The luminaire can be mounted either in a wall or ceiling to offer a clearly defined wash of light and can be utilised in numerous project applications, such as corridors, stairways and more general feature lights.

Mondo is also able to be used as an emergency luminaire. The Mondo family of products can be used inside and out, enabling seamless integration across a whole project.
